"Imperfeito" began because of the relationship between food and dishes.

My career as a cook allowed me to see the important relationship that these two arts share. This led me to explore the techniques involved in creating objects with useful shapes and textures using clay.

About us

Ceramic objects decorate our living spaces with character and elegance. A jug adorns our minds even if we do not use it, and plates feed our eyes when placed on the table. I think ceramic objects are a reflection and celebration of ourselves. I have always wondered how I can take care of and participate in my living space with objects that remind me of moments and people. I believe that utilitarian ceramics bring me closer to this. Ceramics have given me the opportunity to express my ideas and my desire to create, and in a metaphorical way, to participate with character and harmony not only in my life but also in others'. I am insistent on doing things with my hands and on the need for beautiful domestic objects that share desires and ideas as elements of life. Utilitarian ceramics, as a concept of art, represent our intimate rituals that nurture and celebrate every moment in our lives.

Get to know Laura

Hello, my name is Laura. I am a chef, artist, teacher, student, wife, mother, and "human being" on a quest—more like an alien lost on this planet.

I seek beauty outside of all parameters. I am passionate about breaking the norm, embracing imperfection, and pushing limits in the name of finding answers.

I came into this world to be happy, not perfect, and that's why I try everything, taste everything, experiment with everything, and never say no, except to my husband.

If you like what I do, buy it. If you don't like it, still buy it and give it as a gift to your mother-in-law.
