My name is Laura, and I’m a Colombian artist and ceramicist based in Los Angeles.

I was formally trained in French cuisine, and while I no longer work in kitchens, that world taught me presence, patience, and the beauty of craft — all of which now live in my ceramics. I’m also a mother, which means I create between moments of chaos, tenderness, and deep discovery.

I work with clay the same way I move through life — slowly, intuitively, imperfectly. Each piece I create is a quiet conversation between my hands, my memory, and the earth. My practice is rooted in softness, emotion, and transformation.

Imperfeito is not just a name — it’s a philosophy. It honors the raw, the asymmetrical, the deeply human. I believe that beauty lives in what’s unpolished… in what holds truth and time.

Most days, I still feel like a curious alien on this planet — trying to make sense of things through touch, through form, through feeling.

My ceramics are not meant to be perfect.
